Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress are currently on the streets of Kaduna State to protest against the anti-labour policies of Governor Nasir El-Rufai-led government.
The labour union commenced strike after the state government refused to reverse the mass sack of workers.
The train station at Rigasa has been fully shut while the Kaduna State secretariat, which houses about 10 ministries, is under lock and key.
The union has directed officials of different workers group have been enforcing compliance with the strike.
NLC Chairman in Kaduna, Comrade Ayuba Sulieman, addressed members of affiliated unions before marching out to express their aggrievances.
The President of NLC, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, later joined the protesters at the state secretariat of the union.
