The Akwa Ibom State Government has ordered the Buhari’s campaign office to relocate from its present location, 23, Wellington Bassey Way, Uyo, citing the unsuitability of the location as reasons for the notice.

According to a release made available to newsmen yesterday in Uyo by the Executive Chairman, Uyo Capital City Development Authority, Prince Enobong Uwah, it stated that the location of the campaign office was a breach of security.

The release noted that the building was converted to a campaign office in defiance of several notices issued for the formalization and revalidation of the building and posed a major security threat to the seat of government.

Accordingly, the notice ordered the removal of the campaign office and all the insignia posted on the premises within seven days.
